Reflecting on my Blog...

Early in the year, i learned the importance of beeing familiar when you are in front of the camera and not looking all over the place. You can see that in my first film, i was not familiar in this way because i was really nervous and i was looking to other places that were not the camera. On my second project i learned that edit clips together to make a video. I think i did a good job in edditing, it was easy for me.Te video that shows this is called "baler pride" where i helped in editing alot of the video. I also learned alot with the numerous amounts of workshops. For example i learned how to do overlay inserts, deleating and extracting, and the one i really liked was the titles workshop and how to put many kinds. one example would be the tittles workshop where i learned how to make a templet title. Where i really lerned alot was in the firs major project of cyberbulling where i leaned how to work a camera and how to film and interview people. Ihad alot of fun doing this project with my group.Every one helped in their own way and the overall project shows this,i really like the title of this project "Dont do it". I also learned that for a project to come out good you need to make a draft and to ask for suggestions to make the video much better. On the vido "over the shoulder" i learned the importance of over the shoulder filming and how it kind of shows a viewpoint of 2 persons. On the second project i leaned way more of how to film a video since i was the camera person. This video gave me alot of practice with the camera and the shots like over the shoulder and close ups and the establishing shot at the beseball fields. This video also shows how my group and i worked with the transitions and the editing.Later in the year in the emberessing moments video it shows that i was more familiar in the camera and i wasnt looking all over the place like in my first clip. I also learned how to edit and do special effects in the video of the water is wide. 5.I learned that in making video you need to work with alot of people and i learned how to cooperate with others.I learned that looking at other peoples videos an d giving suggestions helps everyone in making a better job. I learned that the rule of thirds is very important in alot of videos. 6.My favorite video to make vas the water is wide because we put alot of special effects and the music was awesome!

Torres Fuentes Stanza1

Reflection For this video we used the special effect alpha glow.I liked this one the best because it worked at the bigginig and at first it glowed but when it keeps going it glows more. When we were doing the video we were going for a dark vibe thats why most of our pictures were dark and we showed it by puting a dragon and the cobwebs. We wanted to make it misterious with the different kind of pictures.I really liked how the video came out.

"Thinking about Our Final Values Video."

Positive Comments:
1. This post is from Cassandra’s group. The positive comments that were most meaningful to us were from Cassandra and she told us that we do not need to add anymore shots to our film. That was helpful because we were unsure if we needed to re-film and add some clips. In addition, Cassandra told us that they liked the shot of the two baseball players walking towards the baseball field, and that helped us see that we did a good job filming that section of the video
2. This post is from Lizzy and Luis. The positive comments that were most meaningful to us were from Lizzy and Luis. They told us that they liked the shot of Demi and Jorge talking about leaving or telling the person that they broke their windshield, and that was helpful because we know that shot was effective. In addition, they told us that we need to add music, and that helped us see that music will make this shot even more effective.
3. This post is from Bree and Liz. The positive comments that were most meaningful to us were from them and told us that they liked the pitching scene because it was realistic, and that was helpful because we now know that we did a good job filming that scene. In addition, they told us that they liked our title, and that helped us see that we used a good style and font to catch the viewers attention.
4. This post is from Cristabel and Jessica. The positive comments that were most meaningful to us were from them and they told us that they especially like the shot where the boy runs away but the girl stays because it helps emphasize the idea of good vs. bad choices, and that was helpful because it shows we did a good job emphasizing doing the right thing is better than doing the wrong thing. In addition, they told us that we did a good job editing, and that helped us see that all our hard work paid off.

Suggestions:
1. The two best suggestions we got were from Luis and Lizzy, they said that we should use music when Demi and Jorge run off to add tension to the overall effect of the film. We agree with this suggestion, and our plan to address it is to add music at this point .they also suggested that we should fix our editing. We agree with this suggestion, and our plan to address it is to re-edit some shots.
2. The two best suggestions we got were from Bree and Liz, and they suggested that we should use a dissolve, or a fade to black instead because it was very confusing that the locations changed so suddenly without a proper transition, We agree with this suggestion, and our plan to address it is to change the transitions between the two conversations.
3. The two best suggestions we got were from Julissa and Ryan, and they suggested that we could also add a resolution to show that the boy learned a lesson somehow. We agree with this suggestion, and our plan to address it is to add to the ending.
4. The two best suggestions we got were from Cristabel and Jessica and they
suggested that we should add the sound of shattering glass. We agree with this suggestion, and our plan to address it is to put a shattering glass sound effect.

Reflections on rough dtaft

1) What value are you trying to represent?
--In this video we are trying to show the value of honesty.
2) What do you think your group has done well?
--I think our group did well in working toghther as a group and in the whole prosses of the filming itself.
3) What do you still need to complete?
--We still need to put music to go with the video and we also need to do the end credits.
4) What are you most in need of feedback about? (We want to know if..., We're wondering if this camera angle worked when...etc.)
--We want to know if the video flows well and what type of music we should put to go well with the video.
5) Identify a challenge your group discovered and faced in creating the film. Focus on a challenge about how to best tell your story. Describe how you dealt with that challenge, including discussions you had, things you tried and decided to leave out, and what you ultimately did to address it.
--At the biggining we where going to do the video aroud alicias house but then we all couln't go so we dicided to change the script to worck here in school to film. Then we made it work in a believable way but still showing the value we wanted to show.

Rule of thirds evaluations

Jaay and Cassey
1) rule of thirds: The person on the left should be bigger on the screen and should be placed more closer tp the camera. This way, we will be able to see more of the rule of thirds.
2). relative sizes of the actors on screen: The person on the left appears less important because she looks kind of small. The person on the right appears big. This gives me the impression that she is the dominant person.
3. What I realize from looking at this shot is that it is important to have the people in the right place of the focal point and not be in the middle.i also realized that this group did really well in choosing where the peaple should because they followed the rule of thirds really well.

Damon and Michael
1) rule of thirds: The person on the left looks really good where he is at on the screen because he follows the rule of thirds well.
2). relative sizes of the actors on screen: The person on the left appears medium size. The person on the right appears small compared to the other person. This gives me the impression that the person on right is less dominant.
3. What I realize from looking at this shot is that it is important to check well where to put the people when doing an over the shoulder shot.

Lisa and Ryan
1) rule of thirds: The person on the left should be bigger on the screen and should be placed more farther from the screen. This way, we will be able to focus on the actor that is talking.
2). relative sizes of the actors on screen: The person on the left appears a little big. The person on the right appears a good size, not that big and not that small. This gives me the impression that the person on the right is more dominant than the person on the right.
3. What I realize from looking at this shot is that it is important to have focus on the person who is about to speek.

number 4
1) rule of thirds: The person on the left should be smaller on the screen and should stay where he is at cus its preety good how the set it up.
2). relative sizes of the actors on screen: The person on the left is in a good distance from the camera. The person on the right appears alot more dominant than the other person. This gives me the impression that the person on the left is less powerful.
3. What I realize from looking at this shot is that it is that these peolpe knew how to set up the actor in the right place.also it is important that the focus was in the right place because it made the shot more powerfull.

number 5
1) rule of thirds: The person on the left should be bigger on the screen and should be placed more closer to the camera. This way, we will be able to see better the person.
2). relative sizes of the actors on screen: The person on the left appears weak compared to the person on the right. The person on the right looks bigger than normal. This gives me the impression that he is dominant in this shot.
3. What I realize from looking at this shot is that it is important to put the actors close enough to the camera.

number 6
1) rule of thirds: The person on the left looks good where he is at in this shot.
2). relative sizes of the actors on screen: The person on the left appears normal. The person on the right appears huge. This gives me the impression that the person on the right is dominant and in control.
3. What I realize from looking at this shot is that it is important to not put the person whith his back to the camera to close to it because then that would take our attentin from the person who is talking.

Over the shoulder---Flock Files: The Secret Life of the Billionaire Great Grandmother

My Reflection
For the over the shoulder shots we put the camera behind one person so that not all the head shows but a part of the head .We did the same for both actors.I realized that making this shot is hard to put them in the right place. I also learned that the over the shoulder shot is more common than i thought. On the biggining of the video it looked like we followed the rule of thirds with both actors but as the video goes on i knoticed that the back of the head of the person followed the rule of thirs, not the person who is speaking. The person who was speaking was more in the middle so it didnt really followed the rule of thirds. The over the shoulder gives an impression of a point of view shot.I thought the last shot was realistic enough. it was really hard to edit the emotions at the end. The mood in our video was exitement because cody used a loud enthusiastic voice. It was also confusion by bree because she acted confused really well and exited at the end.
